Well, am already near the end of the third trimester, just waiting for the baby to arrive. It has been a challenging pregnancy with me going in and out of the hospital huhuhu... let's pray to Allah that everything will be okay when the time comes.
I do have some other thing that I've been meaning to share with you with regards to wedding planning. Just hoping to get my hands on the images to go along with the post.
I've a lot to share about glue guns - because I've used a lot of them. Three that burnt out on me. One new one to replace the last 'burnt-out' case and here's another 2 glue guns for spares and heavy duty uses AND a skillet!
One important tip to prevent damages to your glue guns and yourself is to NEVER EVER lay your glue guns down on its side while it's hot (even though after you switched off). All three cases that I've been through was caused by this not so long after it was laid down. Let's face the fact, sometimes we need both our hands to work on our project real quick and we tend to dump the glue gun aside. This is a BIG NO NO. The reason for this is probably the melted glue travels back into the electronic circuits somewhere near the handle of the gun and burn everything up.
But... it's very hard to stand the glue gun sometimes with the flimsy wire stand that they usually provides us. So get something like the glue gun stand from Surebonder (e.g. in the picture). This package is for a small sticks glue gun that comes with the stand. Another option is to have a cordless glue gun (the picture shows one from Adtech). Cordless can comes in two types, butane or electrical cordless glue guns. For butane, it will be completely cordless, while for electrical cordless, you still have to plug in the glue gun, but you have the option of taking off the cord while working for up to 5 minutes (depending on the model & make).
Another alternative of having melted glue is using a skillet. Most useful if you're trying to glue big objects that in normal circumstances, using a glue gun is just not practical (ever been in a situation where you need to put so much glue that the initial glue you applied had already hardened?). For skillet, you have an option of using glue pallets or glue stick if you're provided with the stick holder like the brand I bought in the picture.
Whatever brand you choose to buy, make sure that you use it with care. A good tool if properly taken care of (i.e. used as per instructions, cleaned & maintained) will last a long time.

Ya Allah... 1 month!! This is the longest duration that I haven't been able to update this blog after it kick started. I hope this will remain the longest and no other longer time of idleness.
Townies,
I DO apologize for the lack of updates which was mainly cost by the hectic schedule that I've been having for the past month (2 weddings hantaran to settle + another 2 weeks of outstation in Singapore & Sydney).
Remember the Turqoise Blue hantaran I posted in March? Yes, the kind friend Farhana finally tied the knots early June before I went off for outstation. Here's the pictures of her hantaran that I made just in time for her wedding.
And here's the wedding reception... nice dais eh? Cun!
I have been unwell because of my right ear infection for the past two weeks and the worst had passed early last week only to come back on Sunday where the ear suddenly bled causing panic to everyone especially to my parents who are here (will be going back today... sob sob).
Sunday was also a day full of guests coming over for lunch, high tea and catching ups. Started off with my in-laws, then my husband's friends (and family from China), later in the afternoon my best friend's sister who is just married on the 1st May. It was hectic, heretic and tiring particularly when I had to worry about my ear and tried not to overwork it (or the muscles connecting to it).
So the full week has been a downtime to my business. Sigh... and I had a lot of catching up to do in 4 days. Luckily since my mom who's a Superwoman is here, she helped last night with two of the toughest trays (toughest in term of time-consuming) which is the maskahwin and telekung. Thank you Ibu for the backup help!
Amazing handbag + hat combo isn't it? This is done for FUN....... by my mom!
I received a MMS from my dad last week (my husband found it amazing that my dad can actually MMS ;p Well, who instilled the motto in me that 'there's nothing that you can't learn' if not them?) telling me that "Ibu menang JOHAN pertandingan gubahan KEMAS (Jabatan Kemajuan Masyarakat)" along with this picture. So I asked him, what's the prize and which kain is that? It was from my mother in-law for the hantaran bertandang exchange tray and the prize is a set of stainless steel pots, kettle and whatnot.
Although I know I got the creativity from them, it is still amazing what she can still do and in the name of fun at that! Here's more pictures of the creation. Truly inspiring (for my next project if there are still people giving off kain for hantaran).
Last night was tiring and mind boggling shopping for the hantaran items that I'm supposed to create in moss green theme. It was supposed to be all green + white but in the end at the last moment I changed the theme color (although still with moss green) because the supplier doesn't have the right color and type of flowers that I want.
So instead of all green + white, it's going to be moss green+yellow and a tinge of orangey red with the berries ;) A disaster??
I think it's going to be even better! Just wait & see!
By the way, the favorite store I went to is going to stock up more flowers in one month or so because they're going to China next week for supplies! Cool! And I even managed to strike a deal with them for fresh flowers supplies. Even cooler!
So all is good, InsyaAllah...
The next stop was the visit to one of my office collegue who had just (three weeks ago) given birth to a baby girl. Marsha sure is so cute with her big eyes ;D I hope she'll be happy wearing her new dress (and hope that she won't grow up too soon to outgrow the dress hehehe).
It was full of weddings on the 1st May because I have 4 wedding invitations to attend but only managed to get to one since it's all over the country (one in Perlis, one in Johor, one in KL, one in Selangor plus another one that I wasn't invited to but a cousin's wedding in London!). So I ended up attending the Johor one since I need to pay a visit to my parents as well. Congratulations to all the wedded couples!
Yesterday, my husband and I went to visit a close friend of mine who's been hospitalised since Saturday afternoon (still is as of now) because she was suspected of having dengue. We were on our way back from Johor, since it's on the same way we decided to stop by. She's 8-months pregnant, so she's admitted into the maternity ward. I was told that her fever had subsides yesterday morning but it came back during my visit. Everyone was worried of the baby especially her, so it was actually more of a theraupatic visit to calm her nerves. After staying for more than an hour, helping her to the bathroom twice and help her to take a bath once, we continue our journey back home to Hulu Selangor (but stopped again for two movies at Cineleisure :p).
P/S: I met parents of another close friend of mine at my cousin's wedding in Johor, when we were hugging for the greeting she rubbed on my tummy trying to feel wether I'm already pregnant. Hehehe... Mothers... My husband has already getting tired of all the questions asked to him about this, but I told him he's not in my shoes, so shouldn't be that bad :p Since the week is so full of wedded bliss, families, children and babies, thought I throw in some quote on children.
With the kick-start of the Studio makeover yesterday, I managed to clean up the carpet and rolled it up, but even that drenched my shirt with sweat. It is just too hot with not enough breeze to cool us nowadays, plus the 'purging spells' that I've been having all day. Phewww!
Physically the Studio is progressing slowly but I'm proud to say that the Town (i.e. this Blog) had been successfully updated to its full function (as far as I can think of right now).
Recent addition and alteration to the blog includes:
1. Changes to the Top Menu - the usual Home menu with links to my Shop (I'd like to name it 'The Trunk' but then no one would get the idea that it's actually a virtual shop)~more on this in later post, Contact link and SUBSCRIBE link.
2. At the Sidebars - added a couple of widgets and deleted some useless ones. You can click to the Subscribe To Us widget so that you can get all the latest updates to this blog. For those who'd like to Order (on Rental items as of now), you can fill up the form at the sidebar called Contact Us OR the Order link at the Top Menu.
3. As for the logo and banner, I'm still working on it (both designers are students and they're having their final exams now ^-^'

I am soooooo thrilled like a kid in a toy store! Bought a toolbox a few days back special for all my craft tools (yeah I got like 4 toolboxes now, one for the handyman job, one for knitting which now resides in Johor, another very small one which had retired but I am thinking of using it again).
The one I bought in Tesco is BIG, with lots of drawers and compartments PLUS a carry-on tray inside it. Fits all my tools nicely with rooms to spare for future tools. I think with my weight I can even sit on the toolbox in replace of a stool. Hehe...
So now that I'm more organized, the Studio makeover had kick-started! More pictures once it's ready!
Ohohoho... such a controversial title. Online as in online from home. Finally has my Streamyx on after waiting for 6 months. And it's not perfect yet, using old modem not the WiFi one... but it's better than nothing.
A start for a better journey in the business. Next thing on the list to further enhance ThinkTankerTwo is to get a camera and a Styrofoam cutter. Yeah... better camera for the pictures here and that Styrofoam cutter is for the hantaran bases. You saved a lot by making your own and it's easier & better to cut using hot wire than a knife.
Well that's what ThinkTankerTwo's heading! Always looking for improvements!
I've been having a hell of a time trying to fix the date in this new blog template for more than a week! And FINALLY managed to fix it once I was able to get into the website of the originator of this template. This reminds me to one of my life mantra:
ALWAYS GET IT FROM THE PRIMARY SOURCE
The same goes to gossips, information, things, in this case electronic file, etc. Don't believe in mass e-mail forwardings, hearsays and whatnot. Get it from the right person. Sigh...
P/S: By the way, thanks to my brother but I managed to solve it myself :D
Dear beloved readers,
I would like to apologize for the current messy state of this blog. It is currently undergoing a renovation as you can see from the theme template. Hopefully to launch the new look by end of next week (probably 26th March 2010).
There will be links on top of the page to make it easier to browse by category, more links to my suppliers, blogs that I visited and the company logo coming up in April! I will be posting regularly despite the mess to cater for your event needs so bookmark this page & keep yourself posted by joining as a follower!
Oh yeah, sounds exciting :p It's been 3 months already. So far we're living separately and only met during the weekends. It's due to work commitment, I'm working here in this God forsaken place, his shop PaperCut is in Cyberjaya, it's too much of a hassle to commute here & there.
So far we're enjoying our time of separation & together. Kinda assimilation time hehe.
Anyway, since I bought most of the things for my wedding instead of renting it, I've decided that I might be able to work out some sort of rent-me service here and I'm seriously considering changing my career path (let's make it one a time). I really need to work on 'upping' my website hit again before anything will be a success. Sigh... this is what happen if you don't update your blog for a looooooooooong time.
